Delete your MyEcho data

Option 1 — Delete from within the app

1. Open MyEcho at myechoapp.org/app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Security.
3. Under Delete account, choose Delete my account… and confirm.
4. You're signed out everywhere, your subscription stops renewing and scheduled deliveries pause. For 30 days you can restore your account from the link we email you; after that it is permanently erased.

Option 2 — Email a deletion request

If you can't sign in, email us from the address on your MyEcho account and we'll start the deletion for you. The same 30-day restore window applies before your data is permanently erased.

Please include the email address associated with your MyEcho account in your message.

What is deleted

• Account — your name, email address, sign-in details and trusted devices.
• Vault and files — your vault entries and letters, your uploaded photos, videos, audio and documents, and your scheduled deliveries.
• Backups — every backup copy of your vault and files.
• Sessions — you are signed out of every device as soon as you delete your account.

Timing and what we keep

• Deleting your account starts a 30-day restore window. During it, you can restore everything from the link we email you.
• When the 30 days end, your vault, files, scheduled deliveries, backups and account details are permanently erased and cannot be recovered.
• Billing records — payment and invoice records are kept as long as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes, without your vault contents. Stripe, our payment processor, keeps its own records under its privacy policy.
